PTI Founder Set to Leave Jail, Says Hamid Raza

ISLAMABAD: PTI founder is coming out of jail soon, whether talks with the government succeed or not, said Hamid Raza, the spokesman for PTI’s negotiating team, during ARY News’ program 11th Hour.

Raza explained that the PTI founder has been acquitted or granted bail in all cases against him, making his continued imprisonment unjustified. He also hinted at a protest movement if the current deadlock in negotiations persists.

On the government side, Irfan Siddiqui, spokesman for the talks committee, admitted that progress in the dialogue has stalled. He revealed that PTI has yet to submit written demands and said the initial positivity in talks has faded.

Addressing concerns about the lack of access to the PTI founder in jail, Siddiqui cited security issues as the reason for restrictions. He also dismissed claims of backdoor negotiations, insisting that all discussions are taking place through official channels.

Siddiqui emphasized that the government will evaluate PTI’s demands on merit but added that political detainees cannot be released through executive orders.

Both sides appear to be at a standstill, with no resolution in sight.
