Two Policemen Martyred in Lakki Marwat Attack

LAKKI MARWAT: Two police officers were martyred in a militant attack in Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Monday.

The officers, identified as Khan Bahadur and Hikmatullah, were ambushed near the Jabo Khel area while heading to their duty station. The attackers fled the scene, and police have launched a search operation to catch them.

This incident follows a series of violent attacks in the region. On November 30, three people, including Sub-Inspector Qadeer Khan from Faisalabad, were killed in Lakki Marwat. The victims were visiting the area when unknown gunmen opened fire. The motive remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has faced a sharp rise in attacks recently. On November 20, a suicide blast at a check post in Bannu claimed the lives of 12 security personnel. The attackers used an explosive-laden vehicle after being stopped from entering the check post.

Authorities are working to enhance security in the region to prevent further violence.
