PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s legal team has successfully secured the release of 700 jailed party workers during Ramadan. He emphasized the party’s commitment to freeing its members, whom he described as unjustly imprisoned.
Gandapur reiterated that Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, are being held without any proven crime and that their honorable acquittal is essential for political stability in the country.
Thousands of Workers Freed
The Insaf Lawyers team continues to work on securing bail for PTI workers daily. So far, over 2,000 party members have been released from KP, Punjab, Karachi, Balochistan, and Kashmir.
On Thursday, release orders for 174 workers were sent to jails in Karachi and Jhelum. Gandapur assured that legal assistance is being provided without discrimination and that efforts will continue until all workers are freed.
