Kabul: Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq, met with Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi in Kabul on Saturday to discuss bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
Both sides agreed to strengthen high-level engagement and continue dialogue to improve relations between the two countries.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining strong and mutually beneficial ties with Afghanistan.
According to Afghan media, Foreign Minister Muttaqi stressed the need to remove obstacles in trade and transit, saying such issues should not be linked to unrelated matters. The discussion also included the gradual and dignified return of Afghan refugees.
The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to enhance regional stability and economic cooperation.
