No Request for Refugee or Military Aid from Iran, Says Pakistan’s Foreign Office

Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) has confirmed that Iran has not made any formal request for refugee support or military assistance from Pakistan. This clarification comes amid rising tensions in the region due to the ongoing situation involving Iran and Israel.

Speaking to the media, the FO spokesperson stated that there have been no talks or official communications from Tehran asking for help with refugees or defense support. The FO also emphasized that Pakistan is carefully watching the developments in the Middle East and is in contact with relevant international partners to promote peace and stability.

The FO added that Pakistan strongly supports dialogue and peaceful solutions to all conflicts. The country has always stood for respecting the sovereignty of nations and wants to see peace in the region.

The spokesperson also denied social media rumors about Iranian refugees arriving in Pakistan. “There is no truth in reports suggesting Iran has asked Pakistan to accept refugees or send military support,” the FO stated.

Pakistan and Iran share a long border and deep cultural and religious ties. However, both countries have different approaches when it comes to foreign policy.

The FO stressed that Pakistan’s priority is to maintain peace in the region and ensure national security.
