KARACHI – A video showing an attack on a KFC outlet in Pakistan has gone viral, adding fuel to the ongoing pro-Palestine protests in the country. The incident happened at a local KFC branch where a group of men stormed into the restaurant, creating panic among customers, including families and children.
The attackers, armed with bats and sticks, damaged furniture and equipment while chanting anti-Israel slogans. One of them accused diners of “supporting genocide in Gaza” by eating at the American fast-food chain.
The video has sparked outrage online, with many people sharing their views about boycotting global brands accused of having ties to Israel. KFC, along with brands like Pepsi, has come under heavy criticism during the recent wave of protests.
These demonstrations have grown stronger in major cities like Karachi and Lahore. Protesters are demanding that international companies take a clear stance on the situation in Gaza.
The anger has even extended to the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10), where brands like KFC and Pepsi are official sponsors. Protesters have called for a boycott of the cricket league, accusing it of being supported by Western brands involved in the conflict.
Massive rallies were held over the weekend in Karachi, where thousands of people gathered to demand justice for Palestinians and global action against Israel.
