Pakistan A Team Set for Top End T20 Series in Australia.

The Pakistan Shaheens, also known as Pakistan A, are preparing to take part in Australia’s Top End T20 series in Darwin. As a developmental squad, they will compete against strong teams like Melbourne Stars Academy, Perth Scorchers Academy, and Tasmania.

This appearance in the Top End T20 gives rising Pakistani players a chance to shine on Australian grounds before the Big Bash League season begins. The tour also includes longer matches—two four-day games and one-day fixtures against Bangladesh A and Northern Territory teams.

The Shaheens recently suffered a 47-run loss to Melbourne Stars, managing 128 runs in reply to 175. Despite the defeat, opener Tayyab Tahir scored an impressive 57 not out, and Sahibzada Farhan smashed 26 in quick time.

In the semi-final, Adelaide Strikers Academy edged past Pakistan A, winning by 30 runs. The Strikers set a big target of 198, and Pakistan A were all out for 167.

Still, the Shaheens have shown promise. They secured a strong win against Perth Scorchers Academy, and performed well in earlier matches. Team management hopes the tough competition will help players build skills and confidence in foreign conditions—a key step for future international careers.

As they prepare for their next match, the Pakistan A team looks forward to testing their talent and gaining valuable experience in tough Australian conditions.
