NADRA Reduces CNIC Delivery Time for Faster Service

NADRA has announced a new, faster system for delivering Pakistan’s national identity cards. Now, if you request your CNIC on an urgent basis, NADRA will deliver it in just 12 working days, down from the earlier 23 to 15 days. There are no extra fees for this faster delivery, but you will still pay the usual urgent-service fee.

This change means people who need their CNICs quickly—whether to open a bank account, get a mobile SIM card, or apply for a passport—won’t have to wait as long. NADRA says this faster timeline applies only to urgent requests made through their official channels.

To use the urgent service, people must pay the standard fee and clearly choose “urgent” when submitting their application. NADRA will then process the request more quickly and deliver the card via courier. If you choose the normal service, expect your card in about 30 days, and the executive service (even faster than urgent) takes around 7 working days, but at a higher cost.

This improvement is part of NADRA’s efforts to make identity card services faster and more efficient, with no added cost for speed. For those in a hurry, the new urgent delivery timeline is a big step forward.
