Pakistan Extends Airspace Ban on Indian Flights Until July 24

Pakistan has decided to continue its airspace ban for all Indian aircraft until July 24, 2025. This means that no Indian planes, including commercial or military, are allowed to fly over Pakistani territory.

The airspace closure first began after rising tensions between the two countries, following a deadly terror attack in India in April. Since then, both nations have taken strict steps, including banning each other’s aircraft from using their skies.

This extension affects all flights that are registered in India or operated by Indian companies. As a result, Indian airlines now have to take longer routes to avoid Pakistani airspace. These longer journeys cost more fuel and lead to delays, which affects passengers and increases expenses for airlines.

Pakistan’s latest decision was shared through an official notice, confirming that the ban will remain in place for at least another month. India has also kept a similar ban in place for Pakistani aircraft.

The situation has caused financial losses for the airline industry and inconvenience for travelers. Until the political and diplomatic issues between the two countries are resolved, flights between and over India and Pakistan will likely remain disrupted.
