40 Civilians, 11 Soldiers Martyred in Indian Attacks, Confirms Pakistan Army

Pakistan mourns heavy losses in cross-border violence; Armed Forces respond with precision strikes.

RAWALPINDI – Pakistan suffered heavy casualties in what officials called unprovoked attacks by Indian forces on the night of May 6–7. According to the military, 40 innocent civilians and 11 soldiers were martyred, while 199 people — including women and children — were injured.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that Indian forces targeted residential areas, hitting non-combatants including women, children, and elderly citizens. Among the civilian martyrs were 7 women and 15 children. Out of the 121 civilians injured, 10 were women and 27 were children.

In response, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos under the broader mission Marka-e-Haq, delivering what the Army described as calculated, precise, and proportionate strikes against Indian military targets.

While defending the nation, 11 personnel from the Pakistan Armed Forces embraced martyrdom, and 78 others were wounded in action.

List of Martyred Personnel:

Pakistan Army:

  • Naik Abdul Rehman

  • Lance Naik Dilawar Khan

  • Lance Naik Ikramullah

  • Naik Waqar Khalid

  • Sepoy Muhammad Adeel Akbar

  • Sepoy Nisar

Pakistan Air Force:

“These brave sons of the soil will always be remembered for their courage and sacrifice,” ISPR stated.

The armed forces, along with the nation, paid tribute to the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. The military also reaffirmed its commitment to defend Pakistan’s borders.

“Let there be no doubt — any future threats to Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with a swift and decisive response,” ISPR warned.
