ISLAMABAD –
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has made it clear that a handful of terrorists cannot decide Pakistan’s fate. Speaking at the first Overseas Pakistanis Convention, he strongly rejected the idea that such forces could harm the country.
He stated boldly, “Even ten generations of terrorists can’t damage Balochistan or Pakistan.”
The Army Chief praised overseas Pakistanis, calling them more than just citizens abroad. “You are the light of Pakistan shining across the world,” he said. He also redefined the often-used term “brain drain” as “brain gain”, applauding the global success of Pakistani professionals.
Talking about national unity, he described Balochistan as Pakistan’s “crown jewel” and emphasized that the unity of the people and the armed forces is what keeps the country strong.
General Munir highlighted Pakistan’s natural resources and the need to come together as a nation. “Allah has blessed Pakistan. Now we must remove every obstacle blocking our progress,” he said.
To overseas Pakistanis, he gave a heartfelt message: “No matter where you live, never forget your roots, your faith, and your identity. As Pakistanis, we never give up.”
He also honored the martyrs of Pakistan, saying their sacrifices are eternal and inspire national pride.
General Munir concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s firm stance on Kashmir, calling it “the lifeline of Pakistan,” and expressed solidarity with the people of Gaza, saying, “The hearts of Pakistanis beat with them.”
