Multan: The Zakariya Red Crescent & Blood Donation Society, BZU Multan, visited the Thalassemia Unit at Children’s Hospital to distribute Eid gifts to children undergoing treatment.
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Kashif Chishti, Dean of Children’s Hospital, the team brought joy to young patients by handing out festive gifts. Medical Superintendent Dr. Kamran and hospital staff were also present during the event.
This initiative aimed to bring smiles to the children’s faces and show support for their health journey.
Zakariyan Red Crescent Society (ZRCS): The Zakariyan Red Crescent Society is a student-led organization at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) in Multan. It focuses on humanitarian efforts, particularly in mobilizing students for relief activities and blood donation drives. The society operates under the Directorate of Student Affairs at BZU and aims to promote selfless service and community support among students.
Children’s Hospital & Institute of Child Health, Multan: This hospital is a leading pediatric care facility in the region, offering specialized services for various childhood diseases. The Thalassemia Unit at the hospital provides comprehensive care to children suffering from thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder. Currently, the unit has over 576 registered thalassemia patients who rely on regular blood transfusions and related medical support.
