Manavgat, Turkey: Pakistan’s tennis ace, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, along with his French partner Magalie Girard, clinched another gold medal in the ITF Masters 40+ World Championship Mixed Doubles category.
In an exciting final, Aisam and Magalie defeated Germany’s Katharina Rath and Andreas Thivessen with a score of 7-5, 6-3. The duo made a stunning comeback in the first set, recovering from a 5-2 deficit to win 7-5. They then dominated the second set, sealing their victory 6-3.
Expressing his joy, Aisam said:
“I am truly humbled and grateful for this win. This gold medal is a special gift for Pakistan on the eve of Pakistan Day (March 23rd). Seeing the Pakistani flag fly high on the international stage fills me with immense pride.”
The Pakistan Tennis Federation praised Aisam’s outstanding performance, calling it a proud moment for the country.
