KARACHI – The University of Karachi (KU) has announced new dress code guidelines, restricting students from wearing indecent or casual attire on campus.
The university has emphasized the need for a respectful and modest atmosphere. According to a recent notification, students are now required to wear clean, modest clothing that aligns with the academic environment.
Clothing such as tight jeans, sleeveless tops, see-through dresses, shorts, or shirts with inappropriate language or graphics is strictly prohibited. Students violating these rules will face disciplinary action.
With over 45,000 students, KU stated that this move aims to maintain discipline and foster a respectful academic environment for all. The administration hopes the new code will help students focus on their studies while ensuring a professional atmosphere.
