LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the CM Punjab Karobar Card 2025, aimed at helping small businesses and startups in the province. The new initiative offers interest-free loans of up to Rs1 million, providing a much-needed boost to entrepreneurs.
This scheme enables small business owners to access funds through a digital card. The loans come with a three-year tenure and a 12-month revolving credit facility. Borrowers will repay the loan in 24 equal monthly installments, with a grace period of three months from the card’s issuance.
How the CM Punjab Karobar Card Can Be Used:
- Vendor and supplier payments
- Utility bills, government fees, and taxes
- Cash withdrawals (up to 25% of the loan limit) for business expenses
- Digital payments via POS systems and mobile apps
Eligibility Criteria:
- Small entrepreneurs aged 21 to 57
- Pakistani nationals residing in Punjab
- A valid CNIC and mobile number registered in the applicant’s name
- A business based in Punjab
- Satisfactory credit and psychometric assessment
- Clean credit history (no overdue loans)
How to Apply:
Applications can be submitted online through the PITB portal. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs500 applies. After submitting the application, authorized agencies will verify your CNIC, creditworthiness, and business location.
Charges/Fees:
- Annual Card Fee: Rs25,000 + applicable FED (recovered from the approved limit)
- Additional charges like life assurance, card issuance, and delivery are covered by the scheme
- Late payment charges will be applied as per the bank’s policy
