The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has expanded its ‘Fast Track’ passport service to 26 more cities, ensuring timely passport delivery to citizens. Previously available in 21 cities, the service now covers a total of 47 cities across the country.
Initially launched in major cities like Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Multan, and Peshawar, the service now includes:
- Punjab: Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mianwali, and Bhakkar
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Kohat, Swabi, Swat, DI Khan, Bannu, Hangu, Abbottabad, and Haripur
- Azad Jammu & Kashmir: Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Bagh, Kotli, and Rawalakot
This initiative aims to make passport services more accessible for citizens nationwide.
Additionally, two mega NADRA centers in Karachi, located at Siemens Chowrangi and North Nazimabad, have started offering 24/7 passport services. Each center has five dedicated counters: three for processing, one for distribution, and one for approval.
Director General Mustafa Jamal Qazi recently announced that the backlog of pending passports across the country has been cleared, marking a significant improvement in the system.
