The highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is set to launch in Fall 2025, according to Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. Despite rumors of delays, the release timeline remains unchanged.
Speculation about a potential delay to 2026 grew after Rockstar released no additional trailers or updates following the first teaser in December 2023. However, Georgio Jankowski, a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rockstar Games, recently reaffirmed the 2025 release date in a LinkedIn post promoting job openings. He shared a poster for GTA 6, writing, “With 2025 kicking off and shaping up to be one of the most exciting years ahead here at Rockstar.”
The game’s first trailer revealed a fictional Vice City, inspired by Miami, and introduced the franchise’s first playable female character. While GTA 6 is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, there’s no word yet on a PC release date.
Fans eagerly await more details as the countdown to Fall 2025 continues.
